designerAt age 21, Normand Couture, a freshly graduated designer, opened his first retail store in Montreal, Canada, mainly offering furniture imports from world leading companies. Later Domicil became a public company with 7 stores, a contract division and an upholstery plant establishing itself as a leader on the market. Couture travelled a lot as a buyer, and got strongly influenced by the international trends encountered, an invaluable asset for a product designer. After 18 years of that thrilling adventure, Couture worked a few years as a consultant before founding a manufacturing company where he created the award winning Caméléon seating concept.
